Read to Self

We are learning to read to self. This builds our reading stamina and helps us to get better at reading. We also have lots of fun reading!

Success Criteria

  • I read quietly
  • I concentrate on the book
  • I stay in space
  • I read the whole time
  • I get started straight away

How I am going

I really like: reading quietly because it's really quiet and I can concentrate on my book.

I think I need to practice: reading to someone so we read the whole time.

Caleb, I can tell that you love to read. You get started straight away, read the whole time, concentrate on your book and read quietly. Remember read to self is a time to practise your reading and what you are learning to so. Keep enjoying your reading time.

We are learning to build our confidence in and around the water. We practise our swimming skills and love to show off our new tricks.

This is what I have been practising:
Safe entry into the pool (1/4 turn entry)

Submerge and blow bubbles

I am really proud of: Going under water and getting things with my hands.

It is tricky when: I blow bubbles under water.

The next thing I want to learn is: kick on my back in the water.
I think you are grat at going under the water and blowing bubbles and doing all sorts of cool tricks. You have listened to instructions and given everything a try.
Remember, when you are floating on your back to push your tummy to the sky to help you float. I think this is something you will be able to do with olnly a little more practise.
